International Women's Day 2023, in addition to celebrating women's achievements, we're challenged to raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity.
We will raise the historical taboo of giving additional support to people experiencing menopause in the workplace. Some organisations have been reticent to do this as it could discriminate against men. However, we see this mindset as the very reason behind our need to #embraceequity. Why? Because "Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you; it's not pie."
So? What are we doing about it? We've implemented Menopause guidelines within the business, signed the Wellbeing of Women pledge and launched our very first Menovist Day event last year, where we welcomed our Publicans, teams and guests to take part in the day that included:
